I had a telephone interview with TPE for trainee & looking at the feedback she pretty much found fault with my answer to EVERY question.
The feedback from an interview I attended with Northern only highlighted 1 thing .. That I had gone against procedure to rush my workload, I know exactly the answer I gave & it was to do with when I was a CNC Programmer Operator, my job was to make the machine as efficient as possible & I was in fact creating 'the procedure' & refining it as I saw fit, as a skilled machinist it was what was expected of me & reducing downtime by rearranging the workload would cut out sometimes 2hrs of non productivity in a shift. I guess if a machine shop environment is totally alien to folk that have never worked in 1 then they won't realise what is expected of you, especially in an industry where 'set procedures' are always followed. If I'd realised that it would be interpreted that way then I would've gone into more detail regarding a procedure in some cases not existing but then in other cases (jobs that had been done before) tghere would be set procedures that would have to be followed.
The annoying thing is that I now cant apply for 6 months.
so based on the 2 feedbacks I'm not really surprised TPE didn't get the trainees because it was pretty much the same questions and answers in both interviews.
