TPE/Northern conductors at Blackpool/Barrow

Hi there. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas about the difference between being employed under different T&C's at the respective depots and also what the differences are like in terms of routes, traction and shifts.

Both Northern and ex - TPE conductor vacancies are currently available at Barrow and Blackpool, but little detail is given as to the difference between the two. Also would appreciate it if anyone has any info regarding closing dates. Unlike the old Northern recruitment site, the new DB site doesn't seem to give this information.

Did you apply for the role in the end? I’ve applied, and had my online test last week but strangely have not even had a confirmation to say I have completed them, even though last time I did an online test with northern I got an email straight away to say I had passed.

I'm in the same boat. I applied for the Barrow job and still haven't heard anything either way. Must admit, I'm not too keen on the new DB site for applying as the old Northern one was relatively straightforward. No deadline is given, so I had to get my application in quick.

Just out of interest, does anybody know the difference between the ex-TPE vacancy and the standard one. I applied for the former, but was wondering how they differ. Thanks.
