So it would appear that the "current" TPE service on the north route, which was due to be replaced on Monday 12 September, will now run through to the December timetable change.
This would have seen 2 tph restored to and from Liverpool, with an end to lengthy dwells at Manchester Victoria, one of which would have been to/from Scarborough, the other to/from York. The hourly Newcastle service would have generally run to/from Manchester Victoria only, with the Manchester Airport/Redcar service running as is. This would also have restored the clockface 15 minute interval service in eastbound trains from Manchester Victoria across the Pennines.
If you want to see the details, TPE are helpfully still showing the full timetable on their website - hopefully they'll remember to remove it at some point before Monday 12th September!
