Hello - can anyone tell me whether this ticket can be used to get to Manchester Piccadilly? The booking is on a Newcastle to Liverpool train but the destination does say Manchester stations. With that in mind, could I wait at MCV for the following TPE train to the airport and get off at MAN?
I won't provide an answer to your question, as I'm not certain of the rules in this area and don't want to cause confusion. Someone will certainly be along in due course who can answer that for you though.
What I will say is that it may be a good idea to find some way of obscuring the barcode and ticket number in your screenshot, for security reasons.
I'd also be inclined to say that when your booked 1836 Huddersfield->Liverpool LS train arrives at Manchester Victoria at or around 1912, that's the end of its validity, unless you also have a reservation for onward travel with TPE from Manchester Victoria to Manchester Piccadilly.
P.S. It's £1.40 (single) on the Metrolink for the cross Manchester bit of the journey. Better than a PF or worse.
What journey did you put into the booking engine to get that ticket?
nre.co.uk currently offers two different versions of an advance on that train today, for the same price.
The second version includes a second leg from Victoria to Piccadilly.
So you it looks like you could have booked an advance to specifically to Piccadilly, which presumably would have included the second train on the itinerary.
@19Gnasher69. How did you actually get on? Believe the 1836 TPE ran late from Huddersfield to Manchester Victoria yesterday but not so late that you'll be eligible to any 'Delay Repay'.

It was actually a split ticket from Crossflatts. I was heading to Crewe but wanted to run via the Ordsall Chord. At the time of booking I figured that the 18:15 from Leeds would be a guaranteed five coaches whereas the following Saltburn to MIA train could potentially be three - a bit cosy on the Leeds to Manchester route at that time on a Saturday. When I noticed that the ticket indicated “Manchester stations” I wondered if that covered me but thought I’d best check with the well-informed people on here rather than run the risk of the TPE Stasi.
In the end I got a ticket from MCV to MAN before heading to Crewe. Expensive but c’est la vie for railway nerds!?

Morning - see note above! And yes, RTT shows a 14 minutes delay on arrival at MCV. I’m sure it was later than that but didn’t check the station screens! Anyway I got to Crewe by hook or by crook for a night in a salubrious (sic) hotel before picking up the North West Freighter this morning. I couldn’t get there in time from Crossflatts on a Sunday morning. But just arriving at MAN in the company of 67008 to fill the spare time! As I said - an expensive game this railway enthusiasm!

You don't specify what ticket you held to Crewe, but if it was an "Any Permitted" walk-up ticket from Manchester Stations then it would have been valid from Victoria, Deansgate and Occy Rd as well as Piccadilly.
