From Tommorow TPE have gone to LNER and XC for ticket acceptance on the North Route, because unsurprisingly they haven’t delivered what they’ve promised like the Service to Edinburgh.

But wait.. TPE are getting in staff at 3 key stations to show you where to go. So that’s alright then.

There's a big difference between getting some additional customer service in to help out and safety critical and qualified guards and drivers, as I'm sure you're aware.

Do you know if the ticket acceptance is north of York or just north of Newcastle?

Does it apply at all times or is it very specific?

It’s very vague, it’s barred on two services York to Edinburgh on Saturdays. I expect there will be more on the TPE website.

Same with LNER. I have heard about some overcrowding between Newcastle and York yesterday because of TPEs many cancellations. But the 1133 had no LNER acceptance because of high listings on their own services yesterday.

XC put this out today:
Apart from 12.32 York Edinburgh there is no acceptance on XC
LNER are accepting on trains closest to the TPE cancellation
Again... details listed on TPE website
Looks like more than a few chancing their arm on XC

Meanwhile contempt for passengers in the west continues. Half a service between Liverpool and Manchester, short trains AND extra cancellations. And no ticket acceptance put in place with East Mids or Northern.

If the man from EMR or Northern says “no” (possibly due to knowledge of the shenanigans being played out by TPE) what can be done in terms of ticket acceptance? It’s only going to affect holders of TPE-only tickets. Why should EMR or Northern customers be subject to a crap journey because of TPE’s incompetence?

Calling it half a service is being generous - two hour gaps in service aplenty.

I can see a lot of people returning to their cars.
