TPE Conductor Salary

Hi all

Does anyone know whether Transpennine have given their conductors a payrise this year? Is £30418 only for newly qualified conductors or is that what everyone gets paid no matter length of service?

No train company has had pay rises for around 3 years thats what all the strikes are for and been ongoing for over the last year

Only reason I ask is because it looks like the ScotRail guys secured circa. 3k based on the advertised rates changing earlier this month.
Didn’t think before April that the salary difference was worth it for SR, but now it’s looking like there’s a 5k difference.

yeah Scotrail is run by Scottish transport/government and it arranged deals with them. every other train company is run by Westminster/DFT and been threatened with changes in their job description and job security. yeah the money gap is getting bigger, with TPE guards now the lowest paid in the UK but the work - life balance between long distance and local commuter service is a lot different.
with the changes the government is trying to force through any new starters would be less money and worse t&c's so if you are awaiting on start date or looking to apply hopefully u can get in before that possibly happening

Got starting date with TPE and have had a really good impression from everyone I’ve came across so far so didn’t apply for ScotRail. I think TPE will suit me better so going to try and not be bitter about the pay when the novelty wears off lol

Assuming once all these strikes are sorted the payrise will roll out to conductors aswell won’t it?
