TPE Airport Advance Tickets Unavailable?

Hi Guys

I cant seem to find any advance fares for journeys from Sheffield to Manchester Airport for dates after 8th February. They are loaded for Manchester Piccadilly though. Was hoping to book some tickets for the 22nd Feb. It seems to be an issue across the South TPE route. It says no seat reservations are available across all trains. I could just buy tickets to Piccadilly and then a single from there to the airport though.

Also does anyone know if a trolley is loaded on the 8:04am departure from Sheffield towards the Airport on weekdays please? When doing a dummy booking it doesnt have a trolley symbol but the timetable says trains departing after 7am should have a trolley service. Thanks!

I believe that it is only selected services that have catering facilities available.

Doing a quick search i have found plenty of advance tickets available for the 9th could you tell me what website you are using to look for these tickets and also the time and date,in order for me to help you further.

Sorry a few days ago I didnt notice any available on the 9th. I was looking to travel on 22nd Feb at 8:04am from Sheffield to the airport

Actually I still cant find any TPE advances to the airport itself from Sheffield for after the 8th Feb. there may be EMT & connections tickets available but I have some family members who will travel from Doncaster as well and I will join their train at sheffield so TPE is the only optipn for us all to travel together on an easy direct route. The only TPE tickets to be available seem to be to Stockport and Piccadilly.

Okay so there are advances available for that train.
If you put your journey into FTPE booking engine it will come up with advance fares for that journey priced at £10.

Thanks for your help but when i look at the TPE mobile website i only see anytime singles available for the 08:04 from Sheffield to Manchester Airport on 22 Feb. VTEC website also only has anytime singles available with no seat reservations.

Thanks Sam but that shows 22 Jan but I was looking for 22 Feb No worries though if nothing comes up in the next few days I'll buy split tickets.

ahh okay sorry, but it may be that no advances have been released if i was you i would wait a bit longer and see if any advance tickets are released.

The booking horizons page (http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/ticket_types/44703.aspx) says Advances are available into March for FTPE - BUT there's also a note saying "Some North West Services are not open" - no idea why!

I believe we got a retail brief about this last month. its to do with Tp not knowing what is happening to the class 170's. they are not sure which units they will have to run Sheffield services after the 8th February. So Sheffield to Manchester services are restricted along with the MIA-YRK service every hour.

Engineering work scheduled? If so train services wont show, although bookings should still be available.

I have booked some tickets to Manchester Piccadilly instead and will add on a single to the airport from there. Thanks for your help guys and info guys. There is a 25% sale on TPE tickets from today too.
