Hi folks, apologies if I am in the wrong place, I have tried searching for answers on here to. I've been using the TPE website and app every day to look for an advance ticket from Leeds to Liverpool Lime Street on Sunday 13th April. I've looked every day this week and is bringing up cheap advances on 11th April but nothing afterwards. I wondered if it may be due to the engineering work on the route but there still seem to be tickets on other dates that are affected. Is it just because they release the advance tickets a week at a time or am I missing something. Apologies if I'm being daft.

Advance tickets are generally released a week at a time, when it comes to dates where engineering works are known to affect the timetable. It might not affect the specific train you're intending to travel on, but Advances won't be released until the amended timetable has been published to avoid train times changing after booking. These timetables are usually amended a week at a time, hence the weekly release of Advances.

You can see how far in advance they have released Advance tickets here for all TOCs (albeit this is often a few days behind) or here for TPE specifically.

Ah that's brilliant, all makes sense. Thanks so much for your help, I'll keep an eye on the website and catch them when they go on sale. Just going to London for the night and decided to come back via Leeds and have a ride behind a 91.

Apologies, I never pressed reply on my last message, loosing my touch. Ha ha. I just wanted to say many thanks again for your advice. Tickets went on sale today and I treated myself to first class. Just waiting for Avanti West Coast to go on sale in the next few days for my journey to London now. Thanks again.
