Towns without services from the Big 3

There's Lynton and Lynmouth in Devon - when Mum and I were up there in June 2010 for like a few nights, the bus service to Combe Martin was operated by Filers Travel. An S-reg Mercedes-Benz Vario (not sure on the bodywork) - the bus wasn't bad, got us there and back!

There's Lynton and Lynmouth in Devon - when Mum and I were up there in June 2010 for like a few nights, the bus service to Combe Martin was operated by Filers Travel. An S-reg Mercedes-Benz Vario (not sure on the bodywork) - the bus wasn't bad, got us there and back!

Lynton and Lynmouth are still only served by Filers, but you may be pleased to know (or not!) that they now have four 16-reg Streetlites for their small local network in North Devon.

Sadly there is no longer a route from Lynton to Ilfracombe (Combe Martin is now only served by the 301 which operates to Barnstaple via Ilfracombe), however the 309 and 310 continue to operate roughly hourly between Barnstaple and Lynton with a few journeys extended to or from Lynmouth.

In the past few years, Quantock Motor Services has also been operating a limited service in the school summer holidays between Lynmouth and Porlock/Minehead using vintage buses, it remains to be seen if this service will make an appearance in 2020.

Oh I've seen photos of the Streetlites after googling them - interesting about the Vintage buses in particular. Hmmm !

Knutsford is served by neither the big 3 or big 6. Only services are by d&g and Warrington. Wilmslow is also the same now, except served solely by d&g.

There are number of surrounding towns south of there that have no big 3
(Just the Stagecoach 715 Guildford-Kingston)
