On Saturday depending on the weather I may pop to Toton on my way back from Retford.

I am driving.

I have been to to Toton Bank Top to view/photo and I can get there by car.

I have seen people take photos from the A52 bridge.

How on earth do you get there?
Layby?
Where to park?
Possible to park on Bessell Lane then get there?

Looking for the SAFEST place to park and then access the A52 bridge.
My old body isn't as sprightly as it used to be so I can't climb up things.

The only place to park is the layby on the A52 westbound carriageway, it's just to the east of the railway bridge. It means a 5 minute walk along the verge of the dual carriageway. You can't access the A52 from Bessel lane.

It’s still not the easiest walk and vehicles will be passing in excess of 60mph so try not to have too much to carry.

The views aren’t great in parts at the moment due to vegetation in certain areas, might be better once the leaves start falling.

Looks like a decision on the day regarding whether is is worth it because of the weather etc.
