Can anyone provide me a definitive number for the number of stations currently on the network?
Thanks

Thing about those statin usage surveys, they show Watford West and that closed years ago...
I once bought a ticket from Bournemouth to Watford West (yes, you can still buy tickets to there!) for the hell of it so am probably included in those statistics![]()
No you can't, only Watford North. Watford Junction and Watford High Street. Also Watford on the Met.
"Network Rail owns 2500 other railways stations, but these are actually managed by the various train operating companies." from networkrail.co.uk
Just trying to find something I had a while ago which gave the details on the usage of IIRC all stations.
Can't find it at all though, does anyone remember that? It had a massive list (in an excel doc) of stations and how many passengers they'd have and stuff like that...

Last month...Loader - when was the last time you tried?
I tried it certainly before the last fares revision and I could buy a ticket there.
Prestwick Airport, Heathrow Central/4/5 (yes 5 is a infrastructure since before 12/5/07), Warwick Parkway are not owned by Network Rail so there goes 5, theres a few more?
It's Lympstone Commando. What about Lymingston Commando (or a similar name). It can only be used by passengers accessing the army base, so is it network rail or the army's?
It's Lympstone Commando.
I think IBM is another non NR one.
