I attended the 'Tornado' naming ceremony at York today. A really well organised event on all fronts. A little bit of a shame that an 8-car voyager pulled into the platform designated specially for viewing just as Charles prepared to unveil the name.

A few cracking shots were to be had and can be found at http://www.clagmonster.fotopic.net

Haven't heard about the RT being axed. :(

Made some nice clag on the way out of the station and I was in just the right place to capture it.

The most ammusing event of the day was a Southbound 185 through platform 10. This was where the South viewing gallery (my location) was. THe driver felt it necessary to give a 3-tone blast on the horn and a Royal wave just before 67005 drew the stock into the station. The guard, travelling back cab (as always ;) ) decided to have his say with another blast on the horn!!!!

An enjoyable day :D

Well someone told me about , so I thought I have a look and found this http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-126680/MPs-say-Royal-train-scrapped.html don't know how old it is but the MP's think its a waste of public money which I dont think it is at all plus its a nice looking set too, plus you get two Royal skips  Which I notice 67005 is nice and clean, Wonder if there is any videos off 005 on youtube doing the horn :D
Cracking shots :)

I'll have to go and get pictures of her with the nameplates now :D.

I think the next time Tornado is this way is when she hauls The British Pullman set from Kings X.
