It's been reported on another site that Tornado failed on the final leg of the tour from Edinburgh to Euston sighting bad coal as the problem.

Anyone got any further info?

I've heard that it was given 'dodgy coal' during its stop at Preston, which in turn caused problems keeping the fire going en route.

Apparently a 66 was attached onto the train after it terminated at Rugby, and took the whole lot ECS to Wembley.
