....and my last question!...

Is there a programme in which you can acess TOPS system on your home computer to find the whereabouts of a locomotive?

I used to go to Willsden Junction years ago and get it from there in a little office on the high level, and the staff were always helpful and willing to do it!

It would be great to be able to do it at home!

Nope. Access to TOPS is only via special terminals in railway establishments.

Only for railway staff use. If you have the correct equipment you can run it on a laptop.
