Hello all,
I'm interested in the workings of 158702 today (1st April)
She worked 1208 Kyle - Inverness, as I saw it with my own eyes.
Normally it is my understanding that this turn then leads to a Wick run and back to Inverness the next day.
However looking at RTT it seems that 702 may well have found itself on a Stonehaven working and unless it got pulled after working an ECS to Aberdeen could have found its way to Glasgow tonight.
I only ask as I have a theory that 702 only worked the Stonehaven train because of a failed or unavailable 170?
Can anyone prove my theory or maybe blow it sky high?

Looking at the information i have available 158702 arrived from Kyle (as correctly identified by the OP) and then worked the 18:28 to Wick. However no two days seem the same as the previous day (Tuesday) and the following day (Thursday) the unit arriving from Kyle then formed the 14:50 to Invergorden. Today (Friday) the inbound unit from Kyle is due to go to Wick.
The 15:29 to Stonehaven looks to be formed off 14:13 arrival from Aberdeen - that same pattern has been followed all this week so far.

Could someone please confirm whether it was 313053 or 313054 paired with 313058 on 27th March 2015? I have notes saying it was 054 in one direction then when I had them later on I had it down as 053!

Think I've been taking RTT to literally.
Units sometimes stable in the centre road between platforms three and four. Seen as 702 had some hours to kill before working to Wick it seems logical this is where it ended up, only for some reason RTT listed it's whereabouts as the close at hand platform 4.
Oh well, a lesson learnt for the future.
