If it makes you feel any better, I had the same sort of problem in May coming back from Reading to Newport on an HST (087+193 IIRC), I could get the front power car no problem, but had to wait until the 97 mile journey was over to get the rear power car, and even then I nearly forgot :lol: Worse was Reading to Slough the evening before, I got 43004 on the front but didn't get a chance to check the back one in the end after getting off and running over the footbridge for a connection, fortunately some time was spent observing stuff at Ealing Broadway and I happened to note it was 129 with 004!

It doesn't help with three HST operators having different places for their numbers! And East Coast is a bit of a pain in the lower back, having white numbers on a grey background and towards the front bogie so less easy to read than the numbers on FGW (white on blue, much further up towards the cab, the same style as GC only theirs is obviously white text on black). Only XC have the numbers on the front as well as the sides, quite useful admittedly although at New Street it's not so easy to read the front number with the headlights number-blocking me! :lol:

It was at Cardiff Canton today but I don't know what it will work tomorrow until tomorrow morning.

Hi again

Would it be possible if anybody would be able to find out what the class 91 and dvt were on the 18.30 from Edinburgh Waverley to newcastle arrive at 8pm on Saturday 28th June

At Exeter St Davids today around 19:00 there was a swt class 158, please can anyone confirm unit number pls. Thanks

The 158 i believe arrived on the 1914 arrival at St Davids ECS from Axminster if any one can assist with Tues 1st July Exeter to Axminster working. It was deffo a 158 as it only had 2 carriages but was leaving end of platform at EXD.

All help appreciated.

Please don't tell me FGW have reduced this to two carriages!! This train is rammed leaving Bristol!!

It used to be booked for a 153+150, with the 153 detaching at Bristol on the return working (2C89 1900 ex-Cardiff).
