I awaited it at Colchester but it had broken down. Drove back home to find it broken down outside my house where the RHTT rescued it! Was pretty interesting!

Hello,
Am trying to find some information:
Firstly I saw a class 180 on a line which past underneath the one I was travelling on.
I was aboard a class 395 having just left St Pancras
Am I right in thinking I was looking at a line that was either going to or coming from Kings Cross.
As the livery to me looked like Hull Trains. The time was 1330 on Tuesday 29th October
Secondly - I was aboard a class 172 at Haringey when a unit passed overhead.
The livery looked like FCC, I was able to get one of carriage number's - 77947 - this belongs to 321405.
405 is with FCC which is helpful.
Am I right, would a 321 be heading over the Gospel Oak - Barking line???
Thirdly and lastly does anyone know which class 90 hauled the northbound 2115 sleeper as far as Edinburgh Waverley on Tuesday 29th October???

1 - yes, out of st pancras high speed before entering the tunnel you would get a glimpse of the ECML at belle isle, may well have been a hull train 180
2 - the gospel oak- barking line passes underneath the ECML at harringay so it may have been an FCC 321 passing above. Didn't think a passenger could see the ECML though as the lorol line is in a very deep cutting.

If the OP is travelling on a 172 DMU then they are on the Gospel Oak - Barking line. The 321 unit would be on the 'wired' ECML.
