Heard today a footie special from kings cross to leeds a pendolino top and tail 67s

‎5Z73 1209 Wembley to Kx arrives 1325, 1Z74 1403 KX to Leeds

Curios to know why Virgin would be letting a Pendo on a football special, away from the West Coast? Not even sure it could be T+T by 67s, more like 57s.

i believe the 67's if they are on it was because it was being routed over a section that was non-electrified into leeds. hence the 90 not being used on it. I apologise in advance if this has changed.

The main route via Wakefield is, but given that spare paths on that route are at a premium, it's quite possible that this could operate a different way. Via Hambleton Junction perhaps.

67030 on the north end, 67021 on the south (IIRC!) out of KX. DBS drivers doing this, hence the 67s rather than 57s.

They must sign DVT's, what about the Management Train? That's a 67+DVT.

More to do with the small number of DVTs (almost all WSMR/Chiltern so probably in use) that are equipped to work with 67s surely?
