Has there been too much celebration of Bob Dylan's 70th birthday across the media? Even The Bobster's greatest fans might have had enough by now.

The media feel sometimes that the viewing and reading public have an unquenchable capacity for fixation upon any subject, irrespective of the fact that there may be no reason for this supposition. I have the feeling that this is solely due to the whim of one person in the media, who sees this as a vehicle to put forward ad nauseum his/her own personal view on any matter they decree.
ah, now to get opinionated', Britain has a very 'unhealthy' obsession with 'all things USA are wonderful', music being one of them, now dear Old Bob made some great stuff in his heyday but that was long ago...But he's American so he's brilliant/wonderful...Don't even start me on Bruce Springsteen then....
Overkill? probably, but not unexpected...
Bruce Springsteen is an absolute legend though!
