Quite excited for this. Tomorrow at around 19:00, Bittern's due to arrive in Edinburgh with 'The Coronation'. Just wondering if anyone knows what Platform she's arriving in?

Thanks.

I'd hazard a guess at one of the through platforms, is it carrying on elsewhere? Why don't you give Waverley a call, i'm sure they'd be happy to help.

It can only be 1/20, 2/19, 7/11, 8 or 9, as these are the only platforms most railtours can use.

What to do, is go to the information desk (just outside the main building in the centre of the station) and ask what platform it will be, as they can usually tell you, especially if you know what the headcode is.

Well, it's coming from London Kings Cross and terminating at Waverley. Headcode is 1Z67.

It is scheduled to arrive at 1859 so the platforms are available from-

Platform 1/20 is vacant between 1849 (2G19 departs) and 1916 (2G31 arrives)
platform 2/19 is vacant between 1832 (1S19 departs) and 2019 (2C57 arrives)
platform 7/11 is vacant between 1900 (1E27 departs) and 1907 (1S43 arrives)
platform 8 is vacant between 1808 (1S39 departs) and 1934 (1S21 arrives)
platform 9 is vacant between 1845 (1R45 departs) and 1923 (2Y27 arrives)

As it is arriving from the south and terminating I would hazard a guess at platform 8 as there is 1E27 (1750 Glasgow Central to Doncaster) leaving southbound off platform 11 at 1900 so it wont be put across the front of that (into 1/20 or 2/19) with only 1 minute margin, although of course 9 is also possible with such a large gap in between services.
Hope that helps.
