Manufacturer badging hasn't really been a big thing for a while AFAICS, it was a sense of pride in the builders' work that saw steam locos have a works badge. But I haven't seen anything from the last 30 years that has an obvious manufacturer label on it. Why not? It would raise awareness of the different manufacturers (despite the lack of Britishness to them). I wouldn't fancy something brash like we have on cars, e.g. "BREL 158/7 14.0TD"
