I'm told that the Virgin trains have the wifi installed but it's only for testing at the moment. I did try my iPod Touch earlier today and there were a few hidden networks around. I couldn't find any more details about them, let alone connect to them. But there was reasonable strength around the barriers so it could be some onboard ones.

The last time I caught a Pendolino, they were testing then. And that was two years ago.![]()
Surely it could be fitted to Turbostars? I saw a bus (not a coach) in Edinburgh advertising on-board wifi.
The Edinburgh based ones are in fact the Comfort Delfro / Parks of Hamilton Scottish Citylink ones.
It was six-wheeled Stageoach one I saw.

but they haven't got phones in Fife yet, let alone the internet![]()
