TOC that require Pass or Enhanced

I am looking for some information regarding what companies require pass or enhanced when conducting your trainee train drivers assessments. Particularly looking at TOCS/FOCS in the North of England.

Northern require a Pass
TPE require a Enhanced
XC....?
Virgin...?
T&W Metro...?

Never heard of Virgin or XC taking on external trainee's so I wouldn't worry yourself with them. They are the premium intercity TOC's so can pick and choose who they want and that's usually qualified drivers with a clean record and X many years of experience.

At the moment, pretty much all companies require enhanced results on some tests.
It's just a away to whittle down the numbers of candidates. They can be picky about it.
Northern is also one of them

Northern dont require enhanced, just a pass.

Apologies, that came out wrong. All im trying to do is establish where I stand as im hearing mixed signals from northern and opc. Did you mean northern require a pass or enhanced???

from what i have heard northern is enhanced and so is TPE

GWR isn't enhanced and C2C want both stages at enhanced level

People trying to second guess what's required from scoring the test.
I passed my assessment with DBS. Had to sit the DFFT for GTR which I passed.

The powers of deduction tell me that I must have passed at enhanced level to be dumped in GTR's 'talent pool'.

I neither know or care what my scores were.

Thats the point, its not as clear cut as that. You can pass for one TOC but still not make the grade for another. Thats what and why I am trying to establish because from what I have been told is if you dont get an enhanced pass then you have to resit all again.

Well it is. If you've sat the tests and passed those result are put on the data base. If you then go to another toc and they require you to sit the tests again you sit them because at the end of the day your never told your score

What is it that doesn't make sense. If your required to sit the tests again to get a certain score then you sit them. Regardless of what your score is you will never as you won't be told. It's either yes you made the cut or no you did not

If I recall correctly I think I answered 10 questions (although some of the questions had two (or more faults). Of that 10 I have no idea how many were answered correctly. I would like to think all of them because the answers I gave were what I thought to be the correct ones at the time, but as I'm not privvy to the answers or the pass mark, I have no idea.
Maybe I got 10 right and that was the bare minimum required to pass? Who knows except the scorers.

Don't be too intimidated by the dfft if you have to take it, out of about 9 people, 7 passed it, the practice material is adequate enough just go through it maybe half a dozen times. the group bourdon is the one to practice.

Both East and West coast have, but not for several years. Don't count them out entirely.
Re this enhanced pass business, candidates are being screened based on test scores. Happens in any job.
