I'm a bit confused about TOC cards can I pay for my partners tickets with my TOC card? Can you do group save tickets with it? If not what do I have to do

If you are talking about your TOC Privilege Card, then this is valid for 75% off of Standard Anytime (or First if you are entitled) Singles or Returns. GroupSave is an already discounted fare and is not applicable for Privilege discounts.

If you and your partner have been together for two or more years, she is also entitled to a TOC Privilege Card but crucially, to obtain discounts for herself to travel, she must travel with her own card and cannot obtain discounts from yours.

This information is all available on the ATOC website (www.atoc.org/rst) or through your respective HR Department.

No PRIV cards only get discount on full fare SDS/SDR/SOS/SOR or the appropriate First Class version if you are entitled to it.

You can also get Priv discounts on SPI, SPC, SPB and SPA (the latter 2 are First class only) fares routed Cal Sleeper. These are travel & berth inclusive fares for the Caledonian Sleeper.

Priv discounts are also avaliable on certain rover and ranger tickets, and in some cases you may not qualify for the full 75% discount (eg. Anglia Plus only gets you travel at the Railcard rate).

Interesting. I have always wanted to travel on this service. What would be my best option as I have a free pass for First Group Trains (Box Card). I assume you don't get a discount on the berth supplement.

Cheers

AFAIK it is cheaper to book PRIV 75% discounted package as no reductions on seperate berth supplements (unless any secret FGW staff only arangements apply !)

Thanks for that. It is similar on Scotrail. If you are safeguarded and have boxes you can fill a box & pay the berth charge (£33?) HOWEVER it may be cheaper, esp for returns, to buy a berth inc priv.
