Right, after playing TRS04 for a while on my new hard drive. I've decided to run msts off my other hard drive. Now, after clicking train.exe it gave me a basic install guide which included languages and such. After this MSTS was just how I left it, so I check on the latest MSTS bin and download the latest version. I come to install it to get what is shown below. Any help?

So then after this goes wrong, Train Store doesnt run of my D drive as it says MSTS isn't installed on my system *rolls eyes* So after this I say, looks msts cant be ran on 2 Hard Drives. Sucks.

hmmm...Not sure about the error, maybe running the installer without any other programs might help?
(Run the installer on its own)

Obviously the Bin patch will not find an installation if it is not on the C drive - change the location to where your train.exe file is.

Trainstore MUST be installed on the same drive as MSTS - again change the path so that trainstore can find MSTS

I changed the bin setup to D: as well but says the same!

If I have interpreted Fred right, have you installed the 1.4 patch before installing Bin?

It is possible that the registry entries are still looking for msts on the C drive.

If the new HD is now C: reinstall MSTS to the D drive then updatee the installation to 1.4 then the BIN patch

If MSTS is on drive d: then why are your trying to install onto drive c?

I'm not.

I went into D and clicked the Train.exe and it loaded up on C from where I left off when D was my master Hard drive. But when I came to install MSTS Bin it didn't like the fact MSTS was on the slave hard drive and not the master. Same with Trainstore.

If you have swapped your hard drives around, then all your registry entries will be wrong. That will be your problem.

Indeed, there are laws in place for you school kids in terms of labour...

Anyway MSTS can be run off two hard drives. I recently partitioned mine. Then again I read up on it beforehand so I knew what I was doing. You can try editing the registry but one false move can totally destroy your system. Good luck!
