Timetable recasts

We had the WCML, MML, XC and South East in December 2008, we've just had the ECML one, and we are due the Chiltern one in September, but are there any more timetable recasts or alterations planned for thew near future (i.e. within 5-7 years?). The Planner mentioned the possibility of a WCML rethink in 2013, and I've heard rumours for Northern, but does anyone know anything else or have any dates?

Northern are waiting for all the other TOC's to do their re-casts then they will follow to ensure that all their trains, nearly but not quite, connect beautifully with them.

Southeastern needs a major rejig at some stage to change from running a generally 3 tph pattern to a 2 or 4 tph pattern, as a result of the eventual Thameslink requirements. I expect that will be done some time well before 2018, to avoid everything changing at once?

SWT and Southern will probably have one too once the Thameslink work is finished (and trains will have new destinations).

Even allowing for a possible change of TOC I expect there will be one for the lines out of Paddington once the remodelling of Reading is finished.

There's not really any reason why SWT should change anything - there has never been any intended route overlap anywhere, especially if you allow for all the evidence that Guildford is already off the agenda.

There's no operational impact at Wimbledon, although there are crossovers south of the station they aren't ever used for day to day traffic.

Southern will not be affected as much as Southeeastern, because they haven't got to change the base frequency of their timetable.

AFAIK there are no plans for any major changes on SWT within the current franchise round. On most lines that's not a problem, but the Weymouth line timetable could certainly use some modifications.

I've not heard anything either, but I suppose since Northern play second fiddle to other TOCs then any change to East Coast/ Virgin/ TPE etc would mean Northern have to recast their timetable to fit around.

However, I doubt there'd be anything changing until the Lancashire electrification/ Ordsall Curve

The arrival of the 379's will hopefully will lead to some form of change on the West Anglian Mainline. I believe the addition of a fast Cambridge-Liverpool Street should change things abit. However as the franchise is changing hands briefly, twice, I have my doubts :P
