Times for trains passing points

Hi guys,

Quick question for you guys. I'm on a train from Exeter St David's to Castle Cary (departing 18:02 arriving 18:52). I was wandering if you could help with the times of when the train will be around Langport & Somerton. The reason being that when I was a wee lad my Grandparents used to live in a large house that backed on to the line and Grandpa would talk for hours about the trains, the line, old lines, stations and well everything to do with the railway. Obviously on a train that's going pretty quickly I won't be able to do anything useful but just want a heads up so I can at least look out of the window!! Similar reason of the viaduct at Somerton, there are many memories of seeing that as a kid and knowing we were nearly almost there! No worries if not, but if anybody can give me some rough guidance I'd be appreciated as at least it's a start.

Unless it's a TIPLOC it'll be quite hard to work out.

The only relevant TIPLOC I can find is SOMEGF, presumably Somerton Groundframe? If so, it's timetabled to pass at 1844.

Cheers, I'll keep an eye out a few minutes either side of that then. I know they pass the back of my Grandparents old house pretty darn quickly, too, so there's not going to be much time either side of that I doubt.

As much as it looks unlikely, unless there's a regular traveller of this route who may just happen to know something, thanks very much for your help.

Your Train Manager should have a very good idea if he has his timetable on him. If he doesn't he should still have a rough idea
