Time table for Dawlish

I'm going to dawlish in september for 4 whole days! Is there anywhere I can print out the times on the line, so I dont miss anything to/ from Dawlish?

Yes, find someone with access to TRUST and ask them nicely

Failing that, download the Virgin and FGW timetables. Also check out SWT as there may be one while you're there (do they still run beyond Exeter?)

TRUST

Train Running System TOPS. A train running and punctuality monitoring system, mainly fed by automatic inputs from signalling systems.

I'm sure there are (or, at least, were) DfT plans afoot to abolish it though, just wasn't sure if it had happened yet

I've just checked and this was in the South West RUS consultation document:-

* removal of the services from London Waterloo travelling west of
Exeter to Plymouth and Paignton, and current SWT services travelling
between Salisbury and Bristol - these services duplicate other train
operator services and/or appear to have a limited financial or
economic case for operation;

However there was such an uproar by passengers that the DfT silently dropped the proposals

yorkie, you'll find the proposal actually became a "priced option" of the bid for the franchise. SWT offered the priced option and hence services to Plymouth and Paignton continue.

Have a look at FGW TT book B on the FGW website. It has the whole timetable for the Dawlish section. Fast services pass Dawlish (from Newton Abbot 8 mins after departure) (From Exeter about 12 mins)

ECS=Empty Coaching Stock (I believe). For example a run to/from a depot. Usually used before the train starts passenger service for the day and at the conclusion.
