Tickets to London Zone 1256

Hello all.

I'll be arriving at Stansted Airport on Thursday before going to a meeting at UCL, then on to a friend near to Elm Park (District Line). If I purchase an anytime single from Stansted Airport to London Zone 1256 will I be able to use it on the tube from Liverpool Street to Euston Square, and then on from there to Elm Park later? Or will I only get let through a barrier with it the once?

You can use it for a single tube journey into zones 1-6. If you want to make multiple journeys, the obvious ticket is the outboundary travelcard. Stansted Airport to London Zones 1-6

Check the single fares first. I don't know about a TC add on for a NR ticket but within the zones two singles are normally cheaper.

The cheapest combination is likely to be a single from Stansted Airport to Tottenham Hale (£21 anytime), then Oyster or contactless payment card on the Victoria line to get to UCL (£3.30 peak/£2.70 off-peak) and again to Elm Park (£5 peak/£3 off-peak).

Depending on the time you travel it might be cheaper to buy an inboundary Travelcard and a single to Boundary Zone 6. A single from Stansted Airport-Boundary Zone 6 is £15.60 and an Off-Peak Day Travelcard is £8.90. That would be cheaper than a single to Tottenham Hale and using Oyster but all your travel within Zones 1-6 would have to be after 0930. If you need to travel before 0930 within Zones 1-6 the option in the post above would be better.
