In the last year or so, the local bus companies (Stevenage) have added QR codes to return tickets. The reader looks like Ticketer. My problem is that it doesn't appear to give any conspicuous indication that the code has been accepted. No flashing light, no beep, not that I have spotted anyway. Hence I look to the driver. The result is that I am probably taking longer to board than needed, thus slowing things down. What am I missing ?
