Looking at National Rail for a ticket from Chelmsford to Tottenham Court Road (Elizabeth line), there is a valid fare for which the itinerary has a change at Stratford.
Some questions:
Would the ticket be valid to change at Liverpool Street? (I assume the itinerary suggests Stratford as the interchange is probably quicker?)
Would the ticket be valid via the Central line (assuming there is no ticket acceptance due to disruption and it was just an arbitrary choice at Stratford)

Thanks in advance

Just a simple day return (or two singles as they are now the same price)

Can you confirm the price of the ticket? It’s likely issued to Zone U1 London rather than to Tottenham Court Road itself.

In any case, there is inter-availability of tickets between Liverpool Street and Stratford. As a rule of thumb, tickets valid on any train would also be valid on the underground (and vice-versa). The exception being advance tickets with booked train only validity (or other TOC specific tickets.)
