Ticket terms for St Pancras to Broadstairs

Hi I have a super off peak day return for St Pancras to Broadstairs for tomorrow. On National Rail website it says:

With this ticket, using National Rail services you can travel to / from the following London stations:

London Cannon Street [CST], London Charing Cross [CHX], London Liverpool Street [LST], Moorgate [MOG], London Victoria [VIC], London Waterloo [WAT], London Bridge [LBG], Old Street [OLD], Vauxhall [VXH], London Blackfriars [BFR], London Waterloo East [WAE], London St Pancras International [STP], City Thameslink [CTK]

Does this mean that to get to the starting point of the journey in St Pancras I can travel from one of the stations listed, or does it mean these stations are acceptable alternatives to St Pancras to start the journey from?

You can either go south from the other stations, or north/east from St Pancras. You won't be able to go through the Thameslink core I'm afraid.

If your ticket states "PLUS HIGH SPEED" in the "route" field then there's a special dispensation:

Customers with London Terminals tickets routes "Plus High Speed" are also permitted to travel in either direction on Thameslink services between London St Pancras International and Farringdon, City Thameslink, London Blackfriars, Elephant & Castle, London Bridge

This is specific to "plus high speed" so would not technically apply to the "HS1 VIA HERNEBAY" fare though staff may allow it anyway (of course they may also try to disallow Thameslink travel on a "plus high speed" ticket but that's another story...)
