So I work as a retailer. I’ve found out in work that the usual cheap advance singles by Northern (which can be easily a 1/4 the normal fare in some instances) cannot be sold from my machine. Apparently they can only be brought online or from TVM’s.
Whether you agree with the amount of ticket offices or not, that’s not my point. Whilst we’re still here, we should be able to sell the same price tickets as you can get online. Why should we be banned from selling the cheapest possible tickets? It strikes me as a move to force passengers to go elsewhere.
