Couldn't really see a thread to tack this on to, so thought I'd just mention this here - when the bad weather hit at the start of the year, as per usual, the Weybridge - Staines line was one of the first not to run/not take priority (as you'd expect) - my journey each day is Farnborough to Chertsey which is fun-and-games with 2 changes. Anyway, because I wasn't sure the Chertsey line was operational, I purchased a single to Weybridge with the aim of being picked up by a work colleage there. However, upon arrival at Weybridge - the line was working, so boarded the train and spotted RPIs (nothing like coming out when the network's battling with bad weather ;)) - anyway, since I only had a ticket to Weybridge, I went and spoke to them like the good little SWT passenger I am to enquire about extending my ticket. 20p it would cost, but alas I had no coins on me at all, only plastic - "No problem sir!", and my excess of twenty whole English pence was put through on Maestro, which would've cost more in processing than the 20p itself
