Hello,

I am hoping to book some tickets on a Thursday morning and then collect them in the afternoon from Temple Meads. I am then hoping to use the tickets for a journey at Parson Street on Friday morning. Is this allowed?

Also if I purchase tickets for a journey that involves two connections will the tickets be printed one ticket for all 3 individual journeys or will they be printed onto 3 separate tickets for each connection?

What tickets are you ordering? The answer depends on what type of ticket and what the destination & originating stations are on the ticket.

If you book a ticket for travel on Friday you can pick it up on Thursday and use it on Friday.

Each reservation coupon can have upto four seat reservations on them, however they can only show one train. So if you had four people travelling on one service you would get four tickets and one reservation coupon, but if you had one person travelling on four trains you would have one ticket and four reservation coupons.

I am booking advance singles.

Parson Street to Bristol Temple Meads (FGW)
Bristol Temple Meads to Exeter St. Davids (XC)
Exeter St. Davids to Dawlish Warren (FGW)

The return journey is singles again, in reverse order with the same operators.

The reason I ask is that I'll be passing Temple Meads on Thursday afternoon anyway and it will be easier and cheaper for me to collect the tickets then for use at Parson Street on the Friday morning as I then won't need to get a bus to Temple Meads which is more expensive than the train.

You can collect most* tickets from any ToD-enabled station, including Temple Meads. There is no obligation to collect the tickets from the station where you will start the journey.

The list of ToD-enabled stations is shown when booking online in a dropdown list at the end of the booking process - you can go to any of the ones in this list, even if you select a different station to collect from.

Note that you cannot collect from stations that are not in this list, even if they have Ticket Vending Machines.

You can collect all of those singles at the same time, as long as you leave at least 2 hours from the time you booked online before going to collect them
