I understand you can buy through tickets from any UK station to Belfast, for very attractive prices. Does anyone here know much about them? Particularly I'd like to know answers to the following three questions:
1) Can you buy similar tickets FROM Belfast to any UK station?
2) Are these tickets valid via either Stranraer or Holyhead (at least from stations, such as in the North of England, where either of these could be deemed reasonable routes)?
3) Are these open tickets, in the sense that you don't have to use specified trains, and can break the journey?
A related enquiry for those in the know is if you get off the boat at Holyhead at 01:00 in the morning, are you allowed to hang about the terminal or railway station until the trains start running? I'd like to crash somewhere and wait for the 05:32 bodysnatcher. I don't however want to roam the streets of Holyhead for 4-5 hours!
Loads of knowledgeable folk on here, so I look forward to your answers!
