I can buy through tickets from island Line stations to all sorts of unlikely destinations on the mainland, but for some reason through tickets are not available to stations on the Southern network in most of West Sussex. (I have been trying to book from Brading to Chichester). Southern destinations further away from Portsmouth do not have this limitation - from a quick check, it seems that once you get to Worthing and beyond on the coast line, or Amberley on the Arun Valley line, through tickets are available as normal.
This seems to be a fairly recent change - can anybody explain it please?
