Through ticket to NYMR

Hi I have non protected Priv and was wondering if there is a through ticket from York to Whitby including the bus Malton-Pickering? Looking at going on Sun. Thx

Nor one that includes the NYMR either, PRIV is available on the NYMR though a separate fare payable.

The only York - Malton - Pickering - Whitby ticket available is a bus ticket, sold by the driver on Yorkshire Coastliner.

From any staffed Rail Station in the country, passengers may purchase Single or Return tickets to any of these places.

Travel by train to York and then continue your journey by Coastliner bus, on the one ticket, at an inclusive price.

When travelling to Whitby the option of completing the journey by bus must be stated when purchasing the ticket. For passengers travelling from the south this avoids a longer rail journey via Middlesbrough.

You've set the origin as York, which returns no fares as it is the interchange point. From York, fares should be paid to the bus driver. The are through fares from other origins, for example see:

There are some stations close to York which don't have a through fare, presumably to avoid undercutting the bus only fare from York.

Yes, after York I put in Poppleton, Hammerton, Knaresborough & Harrogate then Leeds - all to no avail.

I suspect Leeds doesn't have a through fare because the bus starts there. That said, the quote from their website is misleading at best because Harrogate and Leeds are clearly 'staffed rail stations in the country'.
