At some point you have to leave one to go into the other, regardless of what that point is otherwise one of those station names would not exist as they would be the same station.

My god the thing has gone viral!! Just arrived back today and the Chiltern service was spot on time so my my connection by a 15 min walk from Marylebone to Paddington, including ample time in the 1st Class Lounge at PAD.
Thanks to all who offered their pennyworth of advice - in the end I didn't need it but thanks to all for you hard work!

How late does the first train need to be?

Put another way, is there a MCT between Marylebone and Paddington?

I notice that your question remains unanswered amid other discussions.

The answer to your question is 32 minutes between Marylebone and Paddington.

The Kings Cross / St Pancras interchange has another complication too. You can walk from KGX to the tube station and from the tube station to St Pancras.

Nobody is arguing that going from a London Terminal to a tube station of the same name is a "walk". The Wigan example does not have this quirk.
