Go in with a relaxed mind and positive mentality. Don't let any preoccupation with the previous failure worry you. If anything it can serve to help you further. It has just become an example of where you needed to adapt and change as well as deal with a negative situation.

Lots of posters want and look for canned answers so much of their preparation is about what they intend to say and what they believe the interviewers are looking for. As you have already experienced it is more of a conversation and discussion rather than an interview. They look for the how and why of things and how well you come across.

I am a firm believer of good mental preparation. Overcoming the curve balls that may get thrown at you; such as A2B's situation shows strength of character.

Thanks very much Comutor for your advice and reassurance. I do really appreciate ur post and advice .I know why I failed and I will work on it .Iam a bit upset because I thought I prepared well but still did mistakes during the interview as u said **** happens and I have to accept it.I was a bus driver and dealt with difficult situations and emergencies and I know my weakness and why I failed and I will address that . What affected me that The MMI was the last hurdle before the medical and kind of your dream is shattered .Anyway cheers mate for ur post.

This situation that you are dealing with would be a fantastic example to use at your next attempt mate. I'm sure one of the questions in the MMI is along the lines of "Describe a time when you failed/struggled to learn something" - or it certainly was in mine anyway. Being able to then demonstrate to the interviewer what you did to overcome this problem would surely stand you in good stead and show your ability to overcome adversity.

It's good that you are no longer going to dwell on it, learn from it and use it to your advantage. Best of luck to you.

The problem with rejection is it unfortunately sends people one of 2 ways 1- you take it on the chin and come back next time a better candidate realising where you went wrong the first time or 2- you take it badly thinking you've failed miserably and simply aren't good enough.

Unfortunately guys you're applying for a position with thousands of other applicants so right from the very start you're up against ridiculous odds and are being assessed right to the very end!.

If you don't get through first time you really shouldn't beat yourselves up as very few people make it at all let alone first time.....it's a process where small margins make big differences hence why it's immensely important to get your feedback and use it to your advantage!......It really boils my **** when people go back after failing without the feedback......I mean you wouldn't take a car back after a failed MOT without fixing the fault first would you?

But on another note guys there's really no conspiracy it's just the popularity of the role combined with EVERY TOC handling their recruitment procesd differently, what you experience with LOROL for example will differ with Northern or TPE .

Just show some perserverence ,get the application in again and remember where you went wrong last time and you won't go wrong.

The only things that you have to keep in mind is that the whole process is purely opinion based and that there's always gonna be someone out there who's got a better application or is better suited to the role in someone else's opinion .......It sucks but it's life!

Good luck next time out guys!
