I have discovered that AWS ramps are not great for running trains over!! Having de-railed a passenger and knocking a ramp onto the rails I sent a 67 over the track at full speed, unaware of the problem ! Then next thing I knew 67027 had mounted the platforms and 60026 had to rescue the stock and drag the 67 onto the rails. The stock was then shunted to the fiddle yard after the train curtailed. 67027 has now been moved to Crouch Hill TMD for firther assesment :roll: !!!

I wonder what Sir Nigel Gresley would have made of seeing his teak coaches behind a 67 in the first place!

Ive never had anything like that happen, except when i first got my live steam Mallard and had not figured out how to get it to move slowly, which resulted in Mallard going at what looked like 126mph over the living room floor, off the protective sheet for the carpet and landed on its side next to my laptop. Luckily for me the oil came off of the carpet.

Firstly I had better address the issue of unleashing !! It will be quite a while until I do any more unleashing as a rake of super-detailed Mk1s is going to cost a few bob!! ad: At least that poor fellow on the station can take a rest !

With reagrds to my driving expertise I have also bounced a class 60(026) off the floor leaving it in for repair over 9 months!!!!

The 'big blue controller' is currently condicting an investigation...

Another recnet mishap was when I fired the bachamann class 20 (with a ******* ******* of a flywheel) through a pair of buffers and the fence at the end of a siding!!

Out of curiousity, how do the optional nameplates attach? I'm not keen to go ahead without knowledge of what is safe for the paintwork. And was this model meant to have the plough attachments?

I've got one on order. Some have arrived but it was first-come-first-served self-collection at Warley for the first batch. Wides Vine Yard have got their's and have already fitted it with DCC sound. Hopefully they will let me have a quick look at it over the weekend at Darlington.

Regarding 37411, if it's a Vi Trains model then there should have been a 'bag of bits' with it including individual 3-piece snowploughs for both ends. Regarding the attatchment pf nameplates I have found miniscule ammounts of 'Super-Glue' on the back of plates seems to be OK on all bodies Incl. Bachmann, Hornby & Vi-Trains.

For the name plates the little packet the nameplates come in says use blue tac , And no mine did not come with plough attachments don't think it can have them.

Oh you have one on order I might get one but replace the DB logo with EWS

Do they still do the Tank trains on the Wensleydale Railway? I have not seen 60040 yet did it do many runs there I saw it brought some EWS MK II stock.

I believe 60040 made around 4 return trips. The stock brought was 4 Mk2d Opens & an Mk2d TSO. I hope the snaps I have tagged on are OK; I will add more tomorrow. Regarding the tank trains there have been 4 this year (see the other snaps). I have more photos of the gala including my avatar
(47703), 47715 & 31108 which all performed impecably over the weekend.
