It appears to look as if the mighty Thomas Cook is looking a bit shaky. If it was (it's not inconceivable) to go down, would that be the end of the European Timetable? Or would another publisher step in and take it over, like with the National timetable? It's one of my favourite choices of reading matter, so I very much hope that this does not happen.

if it's a business unit that makes money, then someone else will buy it up if Thomas Cook does go down. If the accounts are scrutinised and it is found that the European Timetable operation loses money, then likley it'll die.

As a former staffer on the Cooks, I am scared by this possibility. For it to go under having survived since 1873 through wars, recessions, depressions etc really would signal that the world is in a parlous state...
