I mean, how hard can it be...?'
Don't forget "The Cool Wall" with various units and locos from around the world being deemed, 'Cool', 'Uncool', 'Seriously Uncool', 'Sub Zero' and of course a special 'Ice Box' which I think could only include the HST. Valenta of course...![]()
And we will build an extension so that the Pacers can go as far down the board as they possibly can
(or did you mean the other end of the board)![]()
I meant the other end. Plus, with the Cool Wall, me and Ivo could argue and fight about what is cool or not cool
There's me putting the 323s just around the fridge and he wants it down the other end![]()
In one episode of TG, Jeremy wanted to put a BMW on the cool wall but Richard said it looked like a hamster and ate the paper! Will we be seeing similar activity on Third Rail?![]()

I was thinking that, destroy Pacers like Top Gear do with Caravans. Maybe you could kill some Pacers by droping 66s or the new diesel class 70s on them? We'd also have to have the insane TG style challenges. For example, when Jeremy and Richard played darts using real caravans, maybe we could do the same with Pacers!
and one leave the night before on the sleeper ^^Another race we could have is who is faster from London to Scotland! One going the WCML to Glasgow Central and the other going the ECML
I am not sure this programme could work unless you have a Pacer being blown up, dropped from a crane, being thrown off a cliff in every episode.
Well if it's the train version of Top Gear, that's definitely what we're going to be doing! Pacers being thrown into volcanoes, pacers being thrown in the sea, pacers being burnt, pacers being vandalized, pacers being crushed by Monster Trucks...![]()
Too right - they've (unfortunately!) survived pretty much everything the general public and local chavs can throw at them...time to give them a proper test.
Repeat of the Toyota Helux (spelling may be wrong) trials maybe? Or is that being too ambitious
EDIT: Thinking about it, they coped better with a bit of sea water on the Dawlish Sea Wall than the Voyagers did!!!

I think the programme should just have this, as you'd only want to watch these parts!
But if you're looking for a Toyota Hilux type-test too, to show that something will last forever, I volunteer a FCC 313.
Stop it...you've got me drooling with expectation and anticipation![]()
Pacers being crushed, pacers being melted, pacers being filled with dynamite, pacers being catapulted off ten storey buildings![]()
Why do we need to destroy a Pacer every week? It's not as though TG destroy a caravan (or a Morris) every week, is it? May doesn't even particularly dislike them.
You want to better Top Gear though! Just because they don't destroy a caravan every week doesn't this new show can't destroy at least 10 Pacers every show...
The insides of pacers being filled up with water, pacers being converted into a rail mounted caravans (Camping coaches) and then being set on fire, Pacers being chucked down a ski slope whilst being powered by a rocket, a voyager jumping over a line of pacers, pacer darts etc etc. (I think I have been watching to much top gear.
