Totally irrelevant. As I pointed out further up the thread, third rail has been in use decades before retention tank toilets came into use.

Any loose stream of water onto the juice won't do anything. Watch the RHTT's jetting in Autumn. The spray from the jet is too fine to conduct any electricity from 750v DC, and that's more constant than a loose drop of toilet water.

This came up ( or down ) on another thread
the 1930-40 series of southern EMU s had a cute toilet where there was a flap that
released it contents direct onto the track.with the flush handel down you could see the track running along under the train

That mythbusters video was rubbish:
The voltage may have been 650v, but the current was running through little tiny supply wires you would expect to see in a kids toy. The difference with the 3rd rail is obvious - the wires that supply it are the size of an elephants trunk, hence much more current.

Many years a go me and my mates were waiting for a train at Juan-les-Pins when a train formed of Corail stock flew through. Unfortunately at that very moment someone on the train went for a wee and our legs got showered in it! Not nice! I still have very fond memories of the cote d'azur though and the over night trains from Gare d'Austerlitz.
I know this is way off topic but the local services on that line had a wonderful (and unofficial) method of air circulation. No air con in those days but as the doors began to close if you put your foot in the way the doors re-opened and off we sped! Happy days and thank god for Inter Rail!

That's why platforms are such wonderful things
Fortunately we were on our way back to Nice after a day on the beach (and in the Med) as opposed to heading off for a night out and so were already in need of a shower! It was hard enough to "pull" in that part of the world even if your legs were not splattered in wee!
I suppose on the bright side they could have been splattered in worse !

Yes, that thought did not escape us as we headed back to Nice! Given how fantastic the SNCF was (in our eye's anyway) their toilets did seem to be rather primitive!
Maybe one day my children will enjoy the thrills of Inter Rail. Far better than Ryanair et al.
