Reading through the Transport Scotland sight revealed something interesting. I have no idea how old this document is, but it talks about a potential rebuilding/opening of St Enoch station on a new location behind the shopping centre.

Now, something like this will have to happen at some point. How many more platforms can you build at Central? Sure, you've still got the other half of the low level that could be reopened, but wouldn't a better long term solution be to provide a new terminus?
On the other hand, where would it go exactly? I looked at the location mentioned in the document on Google maps and there isn't much room at all. Perhaps it could be built on a bridge over the Clyde? But then that's not exactly city centre and that's still not much room.
