Tomorrow I'll be travelling on the Tyne Valley line; I made the decision to use it as part of my journey entirely because I've not been on it (apart from at its extremities).
I expected that I'd be able to find a nice guide to it online but haven't found anything paticularly helpful apart from this 30 year old documentary. I've also watched this route learning video.
Could anyone recommend interesting things to be looking out for from the train? Also, I've never actually been in a 142, is there any chance any of the services on it tomorrow could be one? I would be prepared to go to a reasonable amount of disruption to my journey to experience it.
