Things that annoy you

Something that really annoys me is railway trespassers, whether they be 'harmless' phottists going where they shouldn't, or criminals (cable thieves) or just the annoying vandals who get off on doing damage and making graffiti.

People who park where they clearly shouldn't, and then whinge when they're issued a parking ticket and try any trick in the book to try and quibble their way into getting is quoshed. You know the ones, the ones who come with a tape measure to check that the painted lines aren't half a millimetre too thin, etc.

Annoying me lately also is this new political party that seems to have appeared by stealth, the Condemeral Liberacratives. Let's face it, they're not what anyone actually voted for, they don't seem to have a grasp on reality, and they seem to be implementing policy ideas thought up under the influence of certain illicit substances. hock: I'm trying to keep an open mind that perhaps they'll prove us all wrong and perhaps Britain will emerge improved over the next few years. I won't hold my breath on that one though.

I suppose I could also list First Group's recruitment here, but I'll not expand further on that one. I think enough people know where I'm coming from with that one!!!

(ps - the 'harmless' in paragraph one is in quote marks for a reason - just before someone b0110cks me for calling railways trespassing harmless! )

lol Kind of I guess. They've been in power at both State and Federal for a while now and have done nothing but epic failiures so I cant stand them anylonger. Never voted for them and never will.

Txt speak (fine if using mobiles just) But if on a computer hate it and using numbers for letters and words.
Hip-Hop & Rap (yes of course moan at Video games for vilonce whilst a lot of rap music is very violent)

Vegans who try and 'force' their views down your throats (Nothing against Vegans and Vegetarians just ones who force their view)
People who give you evil stares if you nicely say they are in your Reserved seat.
People who litter whilst a bin is next to them.
People who sit next to you on the bus etc whilst lots of empty seats.
People who do not move when a bus is full and you have to stand.
Whittles Buses for not running with less then 3cm of snow on the roads.

I was in a shopping centre food court at lunch time today in Leeds. One of the options was a local fish and chip outlet which was advertising pie chips and gravey as a meal.
Now I quite like a pie now and again, but the whole pie and chips thing is a bit heavy for me at lunch time so I asked how much it cost for a pie on it's own so that I could have it with some mushy peas.

Imagine my shock to be told that no, they don't sell the pies individually, only as part of the meal, and that I would have to part with the whole £3.50.

I'm sorry, but since when did chippies get the right to dictate what side orders I'm allowed to buy. I notice as well that it tends to be the more expensive chippies that are getting a bit above their station. Afterall, they buy the pie and cook the pie, surely they can come up with a sensible price at which to sell the pie individually.

I felt like telling them that if you want to pretend to be some sort of a posh eatery, you can provide proper plates and cutlery, like a Beefeater, or indeed a Wimpey bar. Until then, you're a chippy and you can sell me a pie and mash like any other chippy.

I'm not sure, I know Sprinters are really called Sprinters because they were branded with the name on the sides. However, Pacer's weren't (that I'm aware of) so I wondered wether this is just something the enthusiasts have made up that has stuck?

That's nooothing. I don't know what the size of your dish (both the dish itself and the, hum, dish within ) was, but: a fish+chips shop in Bath and an ordinary bag of chips, nothing fancy & nothing else, no salt, no vinegar, no fish. And he charged £5 for that. hock: And didn't even think it was anything out of the ordinary. I would've thought he was charging for a High Tea at the Ritz... F-ng b*stard.

As mentioned previously on this thread, noisy people in the quiet coach really get me wound up. Why do East Coast book large groups of people into this area knowing that they will probably make a din? I am writing this as we speak on the 0900 Newcastle to Kings X and having to put up with a gaggle of about 10 middle aged women on a jolly to London who have already started on the booze at 0930 making a terrible screeching racket
And as usual on East Coast the guard (J Johnson on this service from the announcements) is nowhere to be seen, in fact out of the last 20 times travelling with them I have had my ticket checked just once on board - but thats another rant.
Can East Coast not change their booking policy so that groups are not allowed in the quiet coach when other seats are available?

It's quite simple, in a car you would do 70 mph in all 3 lanes. You would do that speed in lane 1 and then when you need to overtake a truck you move into lane 2 still at 70 mph. You do not go any faster in lane 2 than in lane 1.

Yep, and it really annoys me when people do, because people think "I'm not slow" and so sit in lane 2 because it's the "fast lane".

Perhaps we should call the left-hand lane "Super lane", next lane "Dimbo", next lane "stupid ****s lane" and (in cases where there are 4 lanes) the right hand lane "Plonker". Then the dimbos in their Porsches, Audis and beat-up Hillman Avengers who insist on flying along at 95 in the right hand lane would start thinking it was cool to sit behind juggernauts doing only 65 and sit on the left, allowing other people to use the road sensibly.
But, back to teh topic.....
What annoys me is that i seem to be unable to spell teh when typing.
