I am totally disgusted with the way NR are (not) treating vegatation. Trees are hanging over lines. Not just leaves but a storm is bad enough to damage rolling stock....
Hello Chap!!
It's a shame you don't get as far up the line as you used to before you went off to drive those funny little green trains, as you might notice quite a few differences. They've gone quite gung-ho with the chainsaws in places, even to the point of removing an entire copse on approach to Harlow Mill (well, all bar half a tree).
I've hardly seen RHTT's about over Anglia. Have DRS lost the contract?
Nope, they're all still there. 2 x DRS RHTT's at Stowmarket and 2 x EWS RHTT's at Broxbourne. In fact, since I've been out and about the RHTT service has been strengthened. The first year I was driving it was run using MPV's but now we get T&T RHTT wagons which carry a much greater amount of water.
As far as im concerned the timetable goes out the window. A to B safely that is all that matters!
Same here. Safety first and timekeeping second.
Mind you, the rain does seem to be a big factor. Had a dry day today and all the grip magically came back.
