Well, as I had to dig this up for somewhere else today, I thought it would be of great interest on here as well...
It is 56 032 propelling a pair of EPBs ( 5452 nearest ) away from New
Cross at 14.29 on 09/02/91; exposure f5.6 for 1/500th on ASA100 film.
I had actually bashed this combination from London Bridge to here and managed to get across to the other platform just in time to get the picture as it moved off again. It was a narrow collection as well - I had been on platform 5/6 at London Bridge when it came in and had to really hurry to get across the footbridge to board it, but I cannot now remember if it came from Cannon Street ( plats 1/2 ) or Charing Cross ( plats 3 /4 ).
Later the same afternoon I collected a 47/3 with a pair of CEPs from Waterloo East to Cannon Street, but was not able to get a picture of that working.
Off the top of my head, I believe there was a second class 56 combination active the same day, but I'll have to try to find my old notebooks to confirm that.
