I would love to see the alpha-male "greyback" gorilla (actor) suddenly decide to take method acting to its ultimate peak and sort out that idiotic man who decided to leave his wife in the car, then go looking for the "American" voice-over actor, with a view of handing out some more of the same medicine.

It could be argued that all of the above (and others) are the best adverts as you know exactly who the advert was for and have mentioned them by name

I definitely agree with that Wonga advert with the pensioners, I loathe it - and fail to take a company seriously who's apr is 2440%.....

Some others are Halifax/ Lloyds TSB / Natwest . . . banks pretending to be all "happy smiley" when they really aren't

The most excellent "webuyanycar.com" - dreadfully irritating.

My personal top of the worst is the Tombola Bingo adverts on ITV before Emmerdale. Usually this shows lots of people on a beach / horse riding / go karting / rock climbing and other outdoor pursuits, along with the music "I'm standing up straight and I'm ten feet tall" . . . No you're not . . .You're not standing up, you're sitting down playing online bingo, and why show people doing all those activities when they are advertising something that requires no activity whatsoever? These people are playing online bingo, what's it go to do with Quad Biking?? Madness!

THAT IS AWFUL!!!
It makes a mockery of their website and trains in general.

I hate the fact that most programmes on independent stations are sponsored.

This also applies to radio broadcasts aswell.

My biggest bugbear is the FA Cup sponsored by Eon. I am a football fan and always look forward to who my team draws in the 3rd round.

Eon is one of the big 6 energy suppliers in the UK. But instead of throwing money at the FA cup shouldn't they be working on bringing energy prices down?

One of these used to feature a bloke that was once in "The Bill" and went along the lines of "had an accident and not thought 'oh it was just an accident' instead maybe thought 'No, I ABSOLUTELY didn't deserve that' then call us now" . . .Dreadful - no wonder insurance is so high with these lot!

Also I am told every day to claim back mis-sold PPI insurance that I didn't want or need!

I find these accident claim adverts sleazy. Has anybody actually tried to claim from one of these companies?

My Mrs has a claim in for an accident she had on a bus. The company are really making it as difficult as they can. I wonder if it's worth the hassle.

The alternative is to make the ITV channels along with Channel 4 and Five subscription channels. The money to keep the channels going has to come from somewhere.

A necessary evil IMO. The only real alternative is to have them at the beginning and end of each program but then they'd not be worth as much as you'd get people doing what they do for films and fast-forwarding the ads.

Ads themselves aren't as bad as trailers (I'm looking at you channel 5 thinking I give a flying **** about big brother when trying to watch police interceptors) yet if pressed I would say the baby in the desert ad, the trainline ad and the personal injury ads

I've seen something which is weird. It just shows some little brat staring into a car at the female driver which is parked in an underground carpark.
